The Memory Trap

alimentary:

femmedelamayhem:

the purpose of a trap is to catch;
when an object is caught the trap is forgotten.

the puprose of words is to convey ideas;
when the ideas are grasped the words are forgotten.

where can i find someone who has forgotten words?

i would like to speak to them.

I will speak…I must admit, sometimes I do forget

It is not always good to remember the exact words,

the promises, the dreams once told

Too many times, they turn out to be lies and exaggeration of feelings inside

I bought and then sold

To myself

But once the meaning is grasped, the exact phrasing of the words

never loses it power

Which is why I keep emails, cards, and letters for over time

the meaning will also be forgotten

It’s just a matter of how long…years, months, weeks, days, even hours

Perhaps one of the most important keys to conversation is to simply capture both the words and the meaning

So that when I forget…I can always give myself the opportunity to remember

The Ripple Effect

Seeing is not believing.

Exposure is not experience.

Obligation is not worth appreciation.

The simple act of breathing is complicated.
